“There’s a lot of we worry about in the beginning and possibly the biggest concern is how to grow a business without money, even though money isn’t the deeper issue.” – Chardét Ryel
The biggest obstacle isn’t what you think it is…
Have you ever thought about how to grow your business without spending a ton of money? It might sound crazy, but believe me, it’s all about smart planning and using what you’ve got.
A lot of peole think that money is the biggest hurdle when it comes to scaling a business. But guess what? That’s not entirely true. In this episode I share just how much money isn’t the issue by talking about an investor who offered to me funding and it was a real eye-opener!
I realized that strategic planning and creativity are way more important than just having cash. Intrigued? There’s a lot more to this story, but you’ll have to listen for the details!
Building Your Authority & Personal Brand: A Key Strategy in Growing a Business Without Money
Have you ever considered how building your personal brand could boost your business growth? Becoming an authority in your niche is super important. Why? Because this is how people find you, trust you and refer your work to others. It’s nice to be liked or to inspire others but what will ultimately bring you sales is when people respect you as an authority in your space that they know will help solve their problems.
Start by getting involved in events, collaborating with other experts, and sharing your knowledge. Maybe write a book or create content that shows off what you know. (This sounds like a ton of work but I wrote mine in 3 months. Because you’re not trying to write a best-seller, just share work that can help others.)
Being seen as an expert will naturally bring in more business opportunities and partnerships. Trust me, this is a game-changer when it comes to growing a business without money.
Maximizing Time and Energy: You don’t have as much as you think
Take a second to think about how you spend your time each week. Are there ways you could use some of that time better? Maybe redirect a bit from routine tasks to activities that really build your authority and help your business grow? Spending time on the right things can make a huge difference.
Because so many of us waste time on tasks that don’t ultimately add to our business. It’s true that you might not have enough money right now to hire help but you also don’t have infinite time to spend on all projects in equal amounts. Respect your time in the same way you would your bank account.
Embracing MVP: Launch and Learn for Growing a Business Without Money
Are you holding back on launching something because it’s not perfect yet? Here’s a tip: go for the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) approach. This means starting with the simplest version of your product and improving it over time. Not only does this save resources, but it also gets your product out there faster. Prioritizing minimal viable products is key to mastering how to scale your business without money. It’s all about starting small and refining as you go.
The faster you can develop an idea and get it out into public, where you’ll refine and get feedback, the better it is for your business. It means you spend less time and resources on building products that may not sell or sell as well as you hope.
Skills and Automation: The Bonus Strategy
Learning essential business tasks before outsourcing can save you loads of money. Imagine knowing how to edit videos or manage your website. These skills not only save you cash but also make you more versatile. Plus, using automation tools to handle repetitive tasks can free up your time for more strategic activities. Automation is a crucial element of growing a business without money – it helps streamline processes and boosts efficiency.
One thing I love doing is reviewing my tasks each week and writing down any that could be potentially automated to save me time. You might not be able to automate them yet but having these ideas will make it a lot quicker for when you’re ready.
Scaling your business isn’t just about having more money. It’s about strategic planning, building your authority, evaluating your time investments, and leveraging automation.
