What It Actually Means to Dominate Your Niche Today
Let’s simplify this.
Dominating your niche is not:
- Being everywhere
- Posting daily
- Chasing trends
- Trying to “go viral”
It’s this:
Being findable, recognizable, and recommendable—without being constantly online
That’s the shift.
And it starts with understanding what makes someone stick.
Step 1: Build a Brand Positioning Strategy That Makes You Unmissable
Before anything else, you need clarity on your positioning. Because this determines one thing:
Whether someone remembers you… or scrolls past.
Your brand positioning strategy comes down to three core elements:
1. What are you known for? Not everything. One core idea.
2. Who is your target audience? Not “everyone.” Someone specific enough to recognize themselves instantly.
3. How are you different? Not louder. Not more. Just clearer.
Why This Matters More Than Ever for Your Niche
In 2026, attention is fragmented. People don’t remember:
- Generic advice
- Surface-level content
- Broad messaging
They remember:
- Specific language
- Strong perspectives
- Content that feels like it was made for them
This is where most niche marketing strategies fall short. They narrow the audience… but dilute the message. What you actually need is depth.
Step 2: Stop Narrowing Your Niche—Start Deepening It
Here’s where things get interesting.
Most people think niche = smaller.
But in reality: A powerful niche is deeper, not narrower
Instead of:
- Talking about more topics
- Trying to appeal to more people
You:
- Refine your message
- Strengthen your perspective
- Repeat what matters
This is what makes your brand identity recognizable.
It’s not about saying something new every day.
It’s about saying something meaningful—consistently.
Step 3: Shift from Push Marketing to Pull Marketing
This is the part that changes everything.
There are two types of visibility:
Push Marketing
(what most people rely on)
- Social media posts
- Stories
- Daily content
- Constant showing up
This gets you seen.
But…
It depends on you. The moment you stop? Your visibility drops.
Pull Marketing
(what actually helps you dominate your niche)
- SEO content
- Podcasting
- YouTube
- Blog posts
- AI search visibility
- Owned platforms
This gets you found.
And more importantly:
It works when you’re not online.
If your entire marketing strategy is built on push…you’re rebuilding your visibility from zero every day.
The Real Marketing Difference
| Push | Pull |
|---|---|
| You chase attention | People find you |
| Requires constant output | Builds over time |
| Algorithm-dependent | Search-driven |
| Short-term visibility | Long-term growth |
Step 4: Ask Yourself This (Honestly)
If you want to dominate your niche, you need to answer:
- Where are people finding me?
- Does my visibility exist without me showing up?
- If I disappear for a week… do I still grow?
If the answer is no…
You don’t have an evergreen visibility system yet. And that’s the real bottleneck we’re solving with this episode.
Step 5: Build Visibility That Compounds
This is where your strategy becomes powerful.
Instead of asking:
“How do I post more?”
Start asking: “Where does my message live when I’m not online?”
Because the goal is not visibility.
The goal is sustainable visibility.
The 3-Part Framework to Dominate Your Niche
1. Define your core message: What do you stand for? Not everything—your core idea.
2. Choose ONE pull channel
Not five. Not everywhere. Examples:
- A podcast (ideal for female entrepreneurs building authority)
- A blog (SEO + AI search visibility)
- YouTube
- Long-form email content
This becomes your home base.
3. Build depth and repetition
This is where momentum happens.
- Repeat your ideas
- Refine your language
- Speak directly to your target audience
- Let your content compound
This is how you go from “posting” to positioning.
The Truth About Growth in 2026
You don’t need to:
- Be online 24/7
- Burn out creating content
- Be on every platform
You need to:
👉 Be in the right places, long enough to be remembered
That’s it.
And for most women building a business—especially in coaching or services…
This is the difference between:
- Always chasing clients
- And becoming the person people search for
If You’re Ready to Grow Without the Grind…
If your business is working…
But it still relies heavily on you showing up every day—
It’s time to build something different.
Something that:
- Works when you log off
- Brings in leads without constant effort
- Positions you as the go-to in your space
That’s exactly what we’re doing inside the Log Off & Still Grow Mastermind
A new way to think about visibility, growth, and what it really means to build a business that supports your life—not consumes it.
Because dominating your niche isn’t about doing more. It’s about building something that lasts longer than your last post.

FULL TRANSCRIPT WITH CHARDÉT RYEL
Chardet Ryel (00:00.166)
It has never been easier to create content and it’s never been harder to actually stand out. Let that sit for a moment. We can make anything. We have so many ideas and we didn’t even have to create the pictures or anything anymore, but it’s actually been so much harder to stand out. Now, a big part of this of course is with AI because every single person can say something now, but very few people are actually being remembered.
So that is what this is about. We’re gonna talk about how do you dominate your niche in a world of AI, in a world of more competition. You know, this is 2026, this is not 2017. It is very different. Every year there have been way more people coming on, way more coaches, therapists, marketers.
Welcome to her first three years from breakdowns to blunders, learn what worked and what didn’t. I’m your host, Chardét, and whether you’re a new entrepreneur or you’re just starting something new, this is your space to learn and feel a little less alone. I’ll see you inside. When most people talk about dominating your niche, you’re often told to really be visible everywhere. And that is definitely the old bro model of
Okay, I want you on 12 platforms. But now that there’s just so much information fatigue, I mean, think about it. Like, what is the last thing you remember seeing online? Think about it for a second. Last thing you saw online doesn’t need to be business related. They just suck with you.
Chardet Ryel (01:39.265)
Why?
Probably not because it was the most pretty beautiful thing. It’s probably because it seemed very genuine, real, well done, positioned well, which is what we’ll go over here to really help you so that in this world of more saturation in the market, in this world of more AI, content fatigue, people don’t have patience, what can we do to genuinely, genuinely stand out? It’s not gonna be posting constantly.
It’s not going to be on every platform. mean, think right, what’s right now one platform you don’t want to be on? What if I said you don’t have to be? If you’re constantly pushing content and you’re constantly producing and you’re trying to be everywhere, it’s very hard for you to focus on the quality of what you produce, but also in how you’re positioning it. It’s hard to make yourself memorable because
While it’s true that people need to see something like what 21 times, who knows how many times now in order for them to really recognize it, they could see it 50 times and if it’s too generic or doesn’t really speak to them, it won’t matter. Now, of course, let’s say you position well and we’ll talk about what that means if you’re kind of like, I’m not sure really how to change my positioning or what it looks like, but it’s not enough. When we talk about
dominating your niche, is you being recognizable and remembered. Not everywhere. You could actually, there was a really interesting book about this. can’t remember the name. Please tell me.
Chardet Ryel (03:15.899)
Find me on Instagram, tell me if this resonates with you, if you remember this book. But basically they were talking about how you only need, what was it, like thousand really like intrigued people in order to grow a business that is actually extremely successful. And if you think about it, a thousand people, I mean, most reels are getting 500 to a thousand views, but it’s not working. So clearly it’s not about just that number, right? It’s about more than that.
When you think about brand positioning strategy, this is important. This is kind of like the first layer, right? To make you really stand out is what determines whether people remember you or they scroll past you. What made you the last thing you remember seeing online? What made you remember it now? What made you not scroll past it? This is a combination of a few things. It’s what you’re known for, the target audience.
And it’s also how whatever you do is different. So those three things are your brand positioning. What are you known for? Who’s your target audience? How is it different? So if I’m known as a therapist, I can be a very different therapist if I’m doing, let’s say, for early childhood versus for expats. Those are two totally different audiences and that would be part of my brand positioning. I could also talk about it and how it’s different.
Even on this podcast, know, it’s known for being a business and marketing podcast. It’s for female founders, especially in their first three years of starting or a pivot. It’s different because I don’t recommend hustling all the time and then pro marketing and cheap tricks. So the clearer you can be, especially with a target audience. I, know, the, I, the female founders at a certain part in the journey.
the easier it is for people to recognize themselves in the work that you do. So this is just something to think about before we keep going. However, we need to go a little bit beyond that now because in 2026, the niche marketing strategy is a little bit more. It’s not just narrowing your content or narrowing your person. It’s really deepening that message. So…
Chardet Ryel (05:26.434)
It might mean that you have fewer topics that you talk about, but you have a stronger point of view. So we talked about first layer is the brand positioning, what you’re known for, who you work with at target audience, how you’re different. Then we start looking at within the niche, what topics are you? But this is the really important part now. If you position and you don’t have the right visibility, you still stay relatively unknown or growth is harder.
You basically, can have a really strong message, but if people only see it when you post, it doesn’t compound. It doesn’t multiply. So we need to look at the other piece of brand positioning is actually how do you get visibility that multiplies, but it doesn’t depend just on you. Because if it depends on you showing up every day to post or getting a big team, it’s really not sustainable. It’s not something that is going to feel good. I you probably already
Do you experience this? You the content burnout. We have a free workshop coming up called Log Off. And it really is about creating visibility that works for you, lets your business model be one that doesn’t require you constantly showing up. And a huge concept within that is this idea of push versus pull, marketing and visibility. There are two ways you can be visible. One is the push way. Posting, it’s showing up all the time. That is important.
I’m not going to say it’s not important to show up, but we’re forgetting the other side. The other side that lets you stop pushing sometimes, which is pull. It’s you being discovered, found, searched, recommended. Push visibility, push marketing, things like social media can get you seen, but pull gets you chosen, especially because it’s attracting exactly the right person.
So the people that are really dominating their niche right now and getting that kind of visibility, they’re not just creating content. They are building visibility that keeps working for them without them having to be there 24-7. Examples, SEO, AI search, podcast guesting, long form content like Substack, even YouTube, and platforms that you own. So a membership that you own, website that you own.
Chardet Ryel (07:52.432)
podcast that you own, the modern niche marketing, you know, it’s not just what you say. Where does your message live when you’re not online? And so many of us don’t know what to say there. it lives on Instagram, but if I’m not there, there go the views. What do you do? And it really is wild because I made the choice to not actively use Instagram about a year or two ago.
because I just saw the podcast was doing so much better that it didn’t even make sense to stay on there because I never liked it anyway. I noticed that when I would come back and just share some things and use it for lunches, of course, I think it’s great for a lunch. I got so much penalized even for just taking a few days off. How can you basically do more? How can you get more visibility? How can you dominate your niche? How can you position your brand in a way that doesn’t depend on you constantly daily?
putting stuff out there and finding an evergreen way is exponentially easier and more effective. Now we’re not saying you have to step off socials, especially if you enjoy it, if you’re seeing some results with it, keep it up, but why not lighten the load a little bit? So here’s how you figure out where are you in this whole brand positioning for this day and age? Where are you at currently? These are the questions to ask. Where are people currently finding you?
Do you have visibility if you don’t show up? Do you have visibility if you don’t show up today, tomorrow, or the next week?
or does everything depend on you being active? There was a time where I would update Instagram stories so frequently, so religiously that when 24 hours was up, I’d have that one minute little break because that was the hack I learned, and then I would put up a new story. And I did that nonstop for at least a year. Exhausting, exhausting. Even if someone else was doing it for me, I would still have to give them the content, right?
Chardet Ryel (09:56.494)
It’s not sustainable when it only exists if you’re present. It basically resets every day if that’s the case. And that’s exhausting. It’s this hamster wheel. And this really is a big thing that we’re showing how to create another way for your business model, for your presence, for being discovered in the Logoff workshop. So this is something that I’m running with a friend, an incredible email marketer. You can find the details.
in the show notes here on her first three years on Instagram, it’s log off. And it’s the idea that how do we create brand awareness for you, visibility for you that allows you to log off? Maybe you go on Instagram when you want to go on Instagram, you post the things you want to post. That’s the way to really have the freedom that business is meant to give us. So if you’re thinking here, you’re like, okay, I want to really think about how do I do this?
What does it mean to position my brand, dominate my niche? How do I do it? Let’s think about it in a few actions for you. First one, which you’ve probably thought about is really defining your core message, knowing what that is. And I think most of us know more or less, but something to start with if you haven’t. Number two is choose one whole channel. You’re not trying to be everywhere. You want to be in one place where people can find you without you. So LinkedIn.
Instagram are not pool channels. Those are push. Pool channel could be YouTube, could be your podcast, could be a blog on your website, could just be in general SEO strategy. These are ways that people find you. So one pool channel versus push. And then the last step here is to build some depth.
into that channel. So you repeat your message. You get better and better at the language, especially for your target audience. You let people hear it more than once. The classic example that I have here, of course, is the podcast. So I was really clear on who it’s for and then really building out on it in terms of who I choose as the guest, the content it’s created, the offers, everything. And if you want to go deeper into this,
Chardet Ryel (12:08.144)
kind of visibility and really dominating your niche and you’re someone who has a business which is currently working, it’s just that it requires a lot of work from you, then Logoff is an incredible resource for you to do because it is going to show you how to select that pull channel, how to build it for you and start seeing leads and reach and awareness even when you’re relaxing somewhere. Everyone is a content creator whether they want to be.
or they don’t. And so you standing out is not about creating more. It’s not about your output. It is about you being findable, recognizable, and consistent without being constantly online. Now I add that part because the thing is, that you can be findable, recognizable, and consistent and burn yourself out. Sure, there are ways to do that. I know a lot of entrepreneurs that do, but if you can do it without constantly being online, you also get to enjoy your life.
You build something that keeps working for you. Again, it’s not about being everywhere. It’s about being in the right places for you, for your business. Each of you are different in the right way, long enough to be remembered. That’s it. And if you’re at a stage where you have a business that’s working, but you just feel like you’re really tied and exhausted in it, Log Off Workshop is where you really want to go to help you to do this.
It’s on her first three years website and on Instagram. And it’s just a really good way to think about things a little differently, to think about how can I become more known without having to be everywhere all the time? And the biggest question to think about as you’re going through all of this is what for me would feel like the most natural place to be that can attract?
an audience. So often this is going to be a place that you often own, for example, your website and or a place that is SEO optimized. So searchable because then those people, they find you. Thank you so much for listening. Go build this visibility. Don’t let it, you know, turn you thinking this is so much work. This is so hard. It’s another thing I have to do. Another thing I’ve done wrong. That’s not what this is about. Even if you just listen to this and you’re like, it’s interesting idea.
Chardet Ryel (14:28.27)
For me to see how I could step back from socials, for example, and explore something else, that’s a huge win, just you even considering it. Sending you a lot of success and relaxation in your founder journey. And I will see you in the next one. If you laugh, learn.
