Welcome to the secrets of standing out. Now, in the course of 10 episodes, each 10 minutes or less, so I’m gonna make this doable for you, you are going to learn how to really grow your visibility and differentiate your brand, your business in the very crowded online space. I wanna walk you through some stuff that is timeless, strategies that will always work, and maybe some new things you hadn’t considered.
And of course, entertain you along the way because I don’t want this to be some boring tutorial. You’ll notice that in these lessons, they’re very actionable. There’s also no like crazy coach pyramid scheming stuff. Keeping it very real for you here. Now this first episode is called the quiet table. And this is why. Imagine that you are in a restaurant. It’s a really nice glowing lights.
There’s these really beautiful wooden tables, candlelight everywhere, and you’re just having a great conversation. You look around the room and there’s a table with, let’s say, four people, and it captures your attention. And you think, they are so interesting. I wonder what they’re talking about, what their story is. And you can’t exactly pinpoint what it is if it’s the way they look, the way they act, the way they interact that makes you want to be a part of that mini
community. They’re not the loudest, but they are the most interesting. I want you to create that table for your business, for your brand, because we all know the opposite of this. A lot of times it’s what bro marketing tells us to do where imagine that same restaurant. You’re told to be the loudest, the most obnoxious. And we all know those people. look around and we just think, can you please kick them out?
It’s not about being the loudest, it is how do you create this magnetic pool so people come to you instead of you always hustling after them. This episode and this whole series isn’t just for you if you’re a beginner in your business, it’s for everyone.

Even if you’re super successful, there are going to be some questions here and some reflection and some action steps that will take you to the next level and also maybe help you examine, have I been trying to rely too much on outdated marketing tactics, things that don’t work anymore? Because I want you to cultivate something called the psychology of subtle distinctiveness. This is the mystery, the curiosity and the relatability.
that all come together to make you attract the exactly right person or customer that you’re looking for. It’s the opposite of people who lead with, I need, I’ve got this desperate energy and I need you to join me. I need you to buy from me. This is the, don’t need your energy, but I appreciate you. It’s creating more intrigue. So what you think now, who is one person or brand that
Quietly grabs your attention meaning it’s not because they’re creating the most obnoxious marketing or they’re saying the most ridiculous stuff It’s because there’s something about it Think about one What makes them intriguing to you? so I’m thinking right now actually of a woman who is a Creator influencer and has just written a book and I’m gonna give her a shout out here because she’s amazing
Her name is Sam and she is known as the hormone goddess on Instagram. And she is this person for me because it’s so relatable, the stuff that she shares, but she also really introduces you to science type facts and interesting little known ideas around your cycle, your menstrual cycle, your hormones. She creates a bit of mystery around it and it has kind of this really like fun, I don’t know how to explain it, this like.
fun, witchy, magic, but not too woo-woo vibe, and you just wanna know more. And you can see this when you look at her Instagram. You’ll see this if you see how much engaged and real comments are given to her. So that’s who I think of when I think of someone who hits the mystery, the curiosity, and the relatability piece. And let’s move a little bit further as we wrap up this episode. These are your action steps.

and you can do this now with me or you can pause or you can do this after the episode, list three qualities you admire in subtly magnetic people. So they’re not over the top in the sense that they need you to look at them. They’re not super obnoxious. Three qualities you admire in them. And then the second part of this, choose one way that you will embody one of these qualities in your content this week.
be it on Instagram, a podcast, even a sales call. What is one of these qualities you will put into your content? For example, if one of my qualities was vulnerability, I would put that into my, let’s say, Instagram reel, sharing something very personal to me. The power of not necessarily being subtle so much as drawing attention without pushing attention. Showing that
I can stand out on my own because of who I am and what I do and not because of all the people who follow me or have recommended me or anything like that. It is you really creating the energy from within that makes people curious. How can you make someone want to have a second date with you? You don’t want to be the one who’s super desperate and immediately says that you’re looking for a 20 year relationship.
Because most of us, even if we want that, we don’t want to feel that desperate-ness. This person would take anyone. They just happen to be on a date with me. And that is exactly what repels people is they think there is nothing that is going to make this person specifically focus on me. I could be anyone. Instead, you want it to be someone raises their hand, they go on the date and they say, that was fantastic. I connect.
I wanna know how I can interact with you more. You it’s the date that you tell other people about, just like you would be the brand that others share, that others talk about. This is a final point related to this. When I look at where most of my downloads have come from my podcast, they’re from WhatsApp. And that is because people listen, they like it, and they share with other people. It’s just like talking about that great date.

You want the same thing for your brand, be it your posts, your products, your community, your podcasts, whatever it is. Now, the next episode, we’re going to be talking about how you can move away from being very beige and kind of, you know, vanilla that everybody does the same thing because it is time for you to create a bold identity that people look at and they pay attention to. So that will be the next episode. But I would say first,
Make sure you do these two action steps, thinking of the three qualities you admire in magnetic people and choosing one of them to put in one of your content pieces this week. Then feel free to move on to the next episode. I will see you there.
And thank you so much for listening. Now, if you want to get to episode two of this private podcast series, you are going to want to go to the show notes. You’ll see the link there, or you can go to the Her First Three Years website. It will give you free access to the other nine episodes in this limited series, all about giving you action steps to give you more visibility, to help you with marketing, and to make it feel good. I will see you in the next one.
